There are numerous ancient multi-level underground cities in Turkey. The complex at Derinkuyu could be closed from the inside with large stone doors and has a total of 13 floors. Each floor could be closed off separately, and the cities were large enough to shelter thousands of people underground together with their livestock and food stores.
Türkiye'de çok sayıda antik multi-level yeraltı şehirleri vardır. Derinkuyu kompleksini büyük bir taş kapı içeriden bu yapıyı kapattı. 13 kat bulunmaktadır. Her kat ayrı ayrı şehir olan yer, hayvanlarıyla ve yiyecek depolarıyla birlikte binlerce insanı barınacak kadar büyüktü.
